BREAKING: Ogbomoso residents stage protest against kidnapping (PHOTOS)

Beleaguered residents of Ogbomoso zone comprising elders and youths have blocked the Taki road in protest against incessant killings and recent abductions of LAUTECH student, Hotelier and one other by bandits at Aba in Surulere Local Government.

Witnesses spoke to MOUTHPIECE NGR over the phone, about the protest.

One of them, Alade Toheeb from Ogbomoso North, said most of the protesters are residents of the five local government under Ogbomoso zone.

Another resident of Ogbomoso South who gave his name simply as Blesmas said: ‘we are holding this peaceful protest to sensitize the community against banditry and kidnapping.”

“We want everyone to complement the efforts of Oyo state government against insecurity by also resulting into self defense and be quick to inform government when they notice strange things in the community.

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the protesters converged at Taki roundabout and marched down to Ogbomoso town to express their grievances.

Notable politicians at the scene include Olamiju Alao Akala, Onirese, and host of others.
