We can recapture B/Haram members who escaped Kuje prison in 2 days – Senator Ndume
Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has said the inmates who ran away from the Kuje Correctional facility can be captured again within two days.
The legislator made this revelation on a television session on Thursday night.
Ndume stressed that if the security agencies are given necessary needs, they will recapture the inmates.
“All the security agencies responsible, call their heads and say ‘get these people back in two days’.
“Remember what Babangida did when Anini was on the loose and robbing everywhere, spraying money.
“At one of the Supreme Council meetings, Babangida asked Inyang ‘where is Anini? Go and get Anini’.
“After two or three days, they got Anini.
“It’s been 100 days and the victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train attack have not been found. Now, two days after the jailbreak, nobody can say where these people are.”
MOUTHPIECE NGR had reported that the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, Wednesday, confessed that Boko Haram suspects in Kuje Correctional Facility are no where to be found.
Unknown gunmen launched an attack on the prison with explosives on Tuesday night.
The defence minister said the invaders are Boko Haram insurgents and 64 of its members who were in the facility have absconded the facility.
