‘These are my friends’— Oyo Deputy Governor thrills people with Disabilities 

People with Disabilities have congratulated the former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal on his elevation as Oyo State Deputy Governor. 

Bayo Lawal, a native of Kishi in Oke Ogun geo-political zone, took the oath of office administered by the Chief Judge in the state, Justice Munta Abimbola, July 18, 2022. 

Lawal, until his appointment, was the chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.

The people with disabilities stormed his office in Agodi Secretariat around 4pm on Wednesday to rejoice with him on his appointment as the Oyo State DG, as well as the running mate to Governor Seyi Makinde in the 2023 general election. 

While presenting their gift, one of them, Mrs Asawale Toyin, said the new Deputy Governor have so much affection for the People living with Disabilities, urging her colleagues to keep praying for him. 

She added that Makinde led administration has done what past administration in the state failed to do for the citizens of the Oyo state especially, persons with Disabilities.

Earlier in his remarks, the Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, who received them with much love and deep affections, said he couldn’t hide his feelings when he set his eyes on them, especially with their gift. 

“These are my friends. Thank you for the love and support for the present admiration.” I urge you to keep remembering us in your prayer”,— he said.
