Son kills father over piece of land in Nasarawa

Tunde Badejo, on Monday, stabbed his father, Badejo Idowu to death.

Badejo has killed his father over a claim to land belonging to the family in Masaka, Karu local government area, Nasarawa state.

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the suspect had over a year been pressurizing his father, Badejo, for a portion of land.

The wife of the deceased, Madam Tolani Badejo said her husband, Badejo had told Tunde, his son to exercise patience and give him time to share the land justly among other members of the family.

According to her, “He had been on my husband’s neck for the land since last year. So during their last argument on Monday, he pulled out a knife and stabbed his father several times on the head, neck, chest, hands and legs which killed him. I raised alarm and he fled.”
