Pastor Adeboye says he didn’t tell Christians to buy guns to protect themselves
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has falsified the news making rounds that he told Christians to buy guns for self defence.
The popular cleric made this revelation during the church’s monthly thanksgiving.
The renowned pastor was quoted to have told them the situation of security has become “fire-for-fire’’.
“I never asked Christians to go and buy guns. Samson in the Bible did not fight with guns,’’
“Don’t buy guns. You don’t want to kill anybody. We just must make sure that unwanted visitors don’t come to our churches, so don’t go and buy guns,’’ he said.
The octogenarian cleric told Christians to rise to the situation and call the bluff of the devil.
