Oyo Deputy Governor attends Oyo High Court Valedictory Session

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal on Monday attended the valedictory session of the Oyo State High Court held in honor of Justice Olajumoke Idowu Aiki, who bowed out of active judicial service, having reached the mandatory retirement age of 65 years. 

The ceremony which was presided over by the Chief Justice of Oyo State, Muntar Abimbola took place at the main courtroom of the Oyo State High court.

Aiki, who expressed her profound appreciation to God and those who stood by her during the struggle, said for sometime past, she had experienced inner joy and peace in expectation of her retirement because she’s fulfilled and know that what is needful has already been done.

She noted that God had achieved his purpose on her, stressing that is worth more than silver and gold. “The purpose of God, having been achieved, I consider it best and most beneficial for me, for which I am grateful.”

A statement obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR showed that Justice Olajumoke Aiki was born into a large family of Chief Jacob Awosiji Fakunle, Asape Awe, who hailed from Ile Fokutu.

She was appointed into the Magistracy Bench of the Oyo state Judiciary on the 10th day of August, 1992, and rose through the ranks to become the Chief Registrar.
