Nigeria facing serious security problems – Sultan of Sokoto laments

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has revealed that the country is going through a serious security challenge.

The Sultan made this revelation at a valedictory and welcome dinner of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) 12th General Assembly.

The event happened on Thursday in Abuja, the country capital and produced new CAN President Rev. Daniel Okoh.

A Rivers indigene born in Kano, Okoh, has been elected this week, succeeded Rev. Samson Ayokunle.

Abubakar has reminded the people of the country that they did not make themselves and should work as one.

“When God was creating us, he did not ask us ‘where do you want me to bring you into the world’.

“We are to understand one another with love and respect, as our various religions teach love and peace.

“We have serious security challenges confronting us, we can be trading blame; we have a lot to do to curb this.”

The traditional chieftain revealed that Christians and Muslims need to act according to will of God.

Ahead of the 2023 election, the traditional ruler admonished the citizens of the country to create an enabling environment for peaceful polls.

Sultan Abubakar has pledged support for the apex Christian religious body and prayed to God to help the body to lead right.
