Kidnapped children recovered under the ground of Ondo church, police arrest pastor, church members

Some children allegedly kidnapped have been discovered in an underground of a church on Friday night in Ondo State.

This incident happened at the Valentino Area of Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the children were allegedly kidnapped and maliciously kept in the underground of the church.

A source revealed that the discovered children were over 50 when they were rescued by the police.

He said that the pastor of the church and some church members are already in police detention.

In viral video, the kids were sighted being taken to the police station by security agents in their patrol vehicle.

In the viral video, a voice could be heard underground, saying, “There are kidnapped children recovered in the underground cell of a church in Valentino Area of Ondo,”.

The spokesperson of the police in the state, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, while confirming the incident affirmed that the victims are now at the police headquarters in Akure, the state capital.

“They are transporting the casualties to the headquarters, but I’m still unsure of the specifics.

“I will provide you with the information as soon as I receive it from the DPO.”
