Impeachment: Court delivers Oyo Deputy Governor’s judgement Thursday 

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, will Thursday give judgement on a case before him between the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan, and the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The Oyo State House of Assembly had last Wednesday directed the state Chief Judge to set up a panel of seven people to investigate the allegation of gross misconduct against the Deputy Governor, Mr. Rauf Olaniyan.

A source who spoke in confidence revealed that the judgement which will come up tomorrow ‘Thursday’ was initially slated for July 26th. 

The source added that the judgement has been brought forward as the counsel to the parties have been duly notified of the development.

It was gathered that the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly; Oyo State House of Assembly and the Clerk, Oyo state house of Assembly are the first, second and third defendants in the matter, respectively.

Chief Afolabi Fashanu, SAN, is representing Olaniyan (claimant) while Otunba Kunle Kalejaiye, SAN, is leading the legal team of the defendants.
