Govt officials demolish Pastor Odumeje’s church, beat him as he tried to stop them

Anambra State Government has demolished the building of the church in Onitsha owned by Prophet Odumeje.

Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, who’s also known as Odumeje is the leader of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry.

The demolition occurred on Thursday by a joint force of state actors and police officers.

The state government confessed that the demolition was in accordance with the Onitsha Urban Renewal Plan of Governor Charles Soludo’s government.

The building was said to be built along the Nwagene stream at the Odoakpu area and had to be evacuated.

During the demolition, the leader of the church was assaulted by some operatives of the Task Force as passers by watched.

They beat the cleric, and accused him of obstructing their assignment and attempting to stop them from doing their work.
