Court sends Nigerian senator to seven years jail over money laundering

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District at the Senate, has been given 7 years imprisonment.

A Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal sentenced him to jail on Friday.

The court also ruled that his two companies would be folded up in accordance with Section 22 of the Money Laundering Prohibition Act 2021.
