ASUU: Workers stage NLC solidarity protest in Rivers

Members of the Rivers State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, have staged a solidarity protest over the lingering strike by university teachers.

Members of the NLC have converged at the State headquarters of the Congress to stage the protest.

The protesters could be seen marching to the Rivers State government House to submit their protest letter.

This came following an earlier publicity by the Rivers State Head of Service warning workers not to join the protest.

Civilians and civil organisations are also participating in the protest.
