2023: Drama as Oyo artisans disown Folarin over ‘circulating report’
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the president of Artisans and Traders in Oyo State, Alhaji Yisau Hamzat has refuted a claim circulating in some section of the online media that artisans in the state have endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the forthcoming 2023 general election, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin.
Hamzat, in a video obtained on Thursday, faulted the reports, describing it as a cheap propaganda aimed at misleading the public .
While calling on residents of the state and the general public to disregard such story in it’s entirety, he stressed that the association never had any meeting with any politician.
Meanwhile, it was earlier reported in the news Thursday evening that the president of the Nigerian Union of Tailors, Oyo state chapter, has also dismissed the reports of purported endorsement of Senator Teslim Folarin ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election.
Alhaji Mutiu Oloyede Ojewale, the president of the union disclosed that not less than 70 to 80 percent of the union’s entire members in the state are solidly behind the incumbent Governor, Seyi Makinde, for his second term bid.
He added that the union as part of its unwavering commitments towards Makinde’s reelection and Makinde’s 2nd term mobilization drive has gone a step further to form a political support group called GSM Marine Team.
