You’ve offended Wike, go and beg him – Nigerian governor warns PDP

Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has implored the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to go and beg the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The Governor said the PDP has not treated the former presidential aspirant of the party, well.

Ortom, while speaking on Arise TV, Wednesday morning, confessed that it was Wike who made him return to the PDP in 2015 when he was not treated well.

“Why do you just send calls to Wike, you should have to go to him,” Ortom said.

“When people left the party, Wike was on ground. It was Wike that brought me back to PDP when I was treated unjustly.

“He brought me back to PDP in 2015. You have treated Wike badly. The party and national level should go to him and appeal to him. He came second to Atiku.”

MOUTHPIECE NGR had reported that Atiku, had on May 28, secured the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 371 votes, defeating his closest contender and the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, who got 237 votes.

Wike has accused stakeholders of his party in the south of “betrayal”.

MOUTHPIECE NGR observed that Wike has not congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, ever since his choice as the running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
