VP candidate, Okowa lambasts critics, tells them to visit his state, to see infrastructure

The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who’s also the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has blasted his critics.

MOUTHPIECE NGR observed that the choice of Okowa as the running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has come with criticisms from some quarters.

The vice presidential candidate replied his critics, on Friday, after an inspection of the ongoing projects at the Dennis Osadebey University, Asaba.

The Governor challenged his critics to come to his state to witness and assess the level of infrastructural development.

“People in Lagos and Abuja say that they are not seeing what we are doing.

“It is either that they don’t come or that they just want to be wicked in their ways”.

While reacting to the N25billion loan for oil palm farmers, Atiku’s running mate said that the loan was not a state one but from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

He narrated that his government only stood as guarantor to the farmers.

“It’s unfortunate what critics are saying, they need to be informed.

“We are only like a guarantor to the farmers, the oil palm farmers in the state.

“It’s going to be monitored but somebody needs to guarantee it for them and that is just what we have done,” Okowa said.

The governor encouraged the people to welcome his party and assured them of good governance, if given chance in the forthcoming election.
