MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that seven persons have been reportedly abducted on Tuesday when some bandits launched an attack on Keke A and Keke B areas of New Millennium City, Chikun LGA of Kaduna State.
The residents of the affected area said that the attack which commenced around 11pm, lingered for about one hour before the security agents confronted the gunmen.
A resident of Keke A who commented as an anonymous posited that at least three people were abducted, including the wife of a military officer in the area.
The resident confessed that the gunmen had targeted a particular house in the affected area during the attack.
“They also kidnapped another man who is the immediate neighbour of the military officer. In fact, the neighbour was picked up alongside his eight-year-old daughter, but they eventually dropped the daughter when her mother continued shouting at the top of her voice.
“Another man who was just returning home in his car at the time ran into the kidnappers. He was the third person that was taken away,” the source said.
A resident of Keke B confirmed that a man, his wife and two of their housemaids were also abducted.
The spokesperson of the police in the state, DSP Muhammad Jalige, said he would revert to newsmen but had not yet done that as at the press time.
