‘Northerners living in south shouldn’t be molested’ over Ondo church attack, Shehu Sani warns

The former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has warned Nigerians that northerners residing in the southern Nigeria should not be assaulted over the recent horrific attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.

recall that some unidentified gunmen had aggressively stormed a church in Owo, Ondo state and massacred dozens of its worshippers during Sunday service.

Following the incident, the former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has warned the people of Nigeria, especially southerners, not to assault Northerners living in the region.

Shehu Sani made this revelation on Monday via his Twitter handle, saying the intention of the attackers was to trigger havoc, vendetta and national strife.

“The intent of those terrorists is to trigger vendetta & national strife.They spare neither worshipers In the mosques nor in the churches.

“The North is a daily victim of their violence.Northerners living in the south should not be molested because of the evil acts of these terrorists.”

recall that the former lawmaker had earlier spoken against the attack on the Ondo Church, and described it as barbaric and condemnable act of terror.

“All Nigerians must be united in denouncing the perpetrators of this heinous infamy. Everything must be done to bring the assailants to book. Enough of this bloodshed”, he wrote.
