Hoodlums kidnap, kill APGA youth leader in Anambra

A youth leader of the ruling party in the state, All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has been killed by some hoodlums.

The hoodlums were suspected to be bandits who have been terrorizing Anambra State for some time now.

Sources have revealed that the youth leader, Hon Emeka Alaehobi, was abducted from his residence in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state two days ago.

There was no call for negotiation on ransom until his dead body was later discovered in a neighbouring town, Utuh.

A source, who spoke to newsmen, said: “He is Hon Emeka Alaehobi, Nnewi South APGA local government youth leader. He was kidnapped two days ago by unknown gunmen.

“This morning his remains were found dumped at Utuh Junction.”

The spokesperson of the police in
Anambra State, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga confirmed that a dead body was seen in the area on Saturday, but the identity of the corpse has not been ascertained.

He said: “When our operatives got to the scene, the corpse had been removed by some persons, we are yet to identify, and we have also ascertained that the corpse is that of the youth leader.”
