Buhari meets Gov Yahaya Bello, hours after he walked out of northern govs meeting
Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, is in a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.
Recall that the Kogi governor, on Monday angrily walked out of the meeting of northern governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with President Muhammadu Buhari.
While reacting to the scenario, Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai said, Bello was not comfortable with outcome of the meeting.
He said Bello was not in support of the agreement that presidential power should be shifted to the South.
According to the number one citizen of Kaduna state, Bello has the democratic right to excuse himself from the meeting.
Thirteen out of 19 governors under the platform of APC from the North had agreed that the party’s presidential ticket should be zoned to the Southern part of Nigeria.
As at the press time, details of the meeting were still sketchy.
