BREAKING: 24 Oyo Assembly members allege deputy governor of gross misconduct, submit petition

Mouthpiece NGR reports that about 24 members of the Oyo House of Assembly have alleged the deputy speaker, Rauf Olaniyan of gross misconduct. 

The members at Tuesday’s plenary also alleged the deputy governor of Financial Recklessness , Abuse of Office, Abandonment of Official duties and Insubordination, among other offenses.

It was gathered that the House has issued out a 7-day ultimatum to face panel. 

“Failure to do so would make the House to begin fresh moves to impeach him,” said a member who pleaded for anonymity. 

The speaker of the House, Debo Ogundoyin who acknowledged the document said the House will treat the document in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended in 2011 (section 188)
