‘Bayo Lawal initiated Construction of modern Mosque in  Housing Corporation’— Rasheed Muideen

Rasheed Muideen Adigun, one of the contract staff at the audit department of Oyo Housing Corporation has confirmed to Mouthpiece NGR that the Chairman of the Corporation, Barr. Bayo Lawal initiated the ongoing construction of modern Mosque at the Corporate Headquarters about 8 months ago. 

He stated this on Tuesday while reacting to the purported statement of a faceless group sponsored by Oyo APC that Barrister Bayo Lawal is not a Muslim. 

Muideen said a Juma’at service was even observed on Friday led by professor Ahmad from Kisi when he visited to congratulate him on his nomination as running mate. 

He explained that the expansion of the mosque was done to accommodate more Muslims.

When contacted, one of the Directors in Housing who craved for anonymity stressed that “even before the construction and expansion, Barrister Bayo Lawal had made provision for tent every Friday to allow them and others to pray.”

He commended him for acquiring the edifice and the way he has transformed the moribund building into a tourist centre that everyone want to work there.
