Just In: 5 names missing as Oloye Jumoke Akinjide makes PDP final delegates list
Mouthpiece NGR reports that Oloye Jumoke Akinjide has finally been adopted as the statutory delegate from Ona-Ara local government in the forthcoming national Convention.
Akinjide’s name was among the list of the 33 delegates from Oyo State released by the People’s Democratic Party ahead of its National convention.
Recall that the name of Oloye Jumoke Akinjide was missing in the list earlier prepared by the state’s chairman, Elder Dayo Ogungbenro.
Ogungbero led PDP picked Chief Adurodekun as the party delegate from Ona Ara Local Government which generated polemics amongst the party members loyal to the former FCT minister of state, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide and the Governor.
The development, however, made the governor to intervene on the thorny issue.
In the list released by PDP, about 5 names have been replaced which include Ogbomoso South, Olorunsogo, Ibadan North East, among others.
Mouthpiece NGR gathered that some of them were removed because they are currently serving under Governor Seyi Makinde against electoral act.
