BSA conducts free eye test for Okada riders in Ogbomoso South

In commemoration of Easter and Eid-el-fitr celebration, A non profit organisation, Booda Sunday Adeyemo Foundation has extended its masses-driven qualitative support to the optical wing of the health sector by organising a Free Eye Test And Glasses for Okada riders in Ogbomoso South Local Government.

Mouthpiece NGR correspondent reported that the exercise was staged on Sunday, 1st of May with many eye doctors (Ophthalmologists) present to attend to the middle-aged and young Okada riders who trooped out en masse to benefit from the free eye test.

The programme which had over 300 riders tested for accurate glasses prescription, were given free drugs, eye drops and cash gifts.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the exercise, the President of BSA, Booda SUNDAY Adeyemo, one of the aspirant of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso South Constituency, noted that eye defect is one of the major challenges faced by OKADA RIDERS, due to the nature of their job.

“The eyes are one of the most important parts of the body which required a serious attention, hence the need to carry out a comprehensive eye test on Okada riders”.

“I feel fulfilled and we are going to have another batch for our people, ” he said.

One of the beneficiaries who appreciated the gesture of the organisation described the programme as timely, adding that the program should be recurrent for them.

“This is a laudable project and we thank the organisers for being thoughtful. We urge them to make the programme a recurrent one.”- He added.
