BREAKING: Tension as Ogbomoso North aspirants reject Oluranti, threaten showdown at Party Secretariat
There are indications of possible crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area chapter of Oyo State following an attempt by party leaders to foist abroad based business tycoon on the people as the candidate of the party for the Ogbomoso North State House of Assembly in the 2023 general election.
Mouthpiece NGR reports that the aspirants who stormed the party secretariat today with an heavy eyes vowed to oppose any attempt to impose unpopular candidate on them.
The consensus candidate, Bisi Oluranti, is said to be unknown by party members and without any contributions to the party and community.
It was learnt that she left Ogbomoso since 2001 after graduating from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, but only visited Ogbomoso for Christmas in December.
The eight aspirants who are currently at the party secretariat submitted that any attempt to impose abroad based woman on them would lead to total showdown whilst appealing to Governor Seyi Makinde to make quick intervention.
The aspirants are: Onirese, Actor, Irede, Bsquare, 777, Mas, Ashiwaju odo and Paul Alagbe.
