Oyo Assembly Hopeful, Booda Sunday Adeyemo Empowers Widows In Ogbomoso South LG

Booda Sunday Adeyemo Foundation has, on Tuesday expended hundred of thousands to empower 35 widows in Ogbomoso South Local Government, Ogbomoso.

Mouthpiece NGR reports that the cash empowerment program was held at Ogbomoso South PDP Party Secretariat with about 35 widows as beneficiaries across 10 wards in Ogbomoso South Local government.

The move, President of the foundation said, was to help reduce poverty level and hardship among the less privileged who are equally widows in our society.

“This sort of programs has been in existence for a very long time and it’s targeted at assisting vulnerable widows who find it hard to cater for themselves after losing their husbands.

While encouraging the beneficiaries, the House of Assembly Hopeful urged them to continue to work hard and put their trust in God.

“I want to encourage our beneficiaries to not derails in their efforts to continue to work hard and put their trust in God.

Speaking further, he expressed his support to the widows, he encouraged them to be steadfast and not relent in their struggles.

The beneficiaries unanimously appreciated and prayed for members of the organisation for the gesture. 

The dignitaries in attendance were; PDP South Chairman, Local Excos and other party leaders in the region.
