NDLEA arrests Wasiu Ayinde with over 5000 capsules of illegal drugs at Lagos Airport

The National Drug Law enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of one Olalekan Wasiu Ayinde who was trafficking in 4,980 capsules of Tramadol and 600 capsules of Rohypnol.

The suspect was picked up on Thursday at the export shed of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, made this known in a statement on Sunday.

The suspect was also caught with some designer drugs concealed inside locust beans and hidden among food items for export to South Africa.

While commending his officers and men for a job well done, Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), charged them and their compatriots across the country to remain vigilant and on the offensive until all drug cartels in Nigeria are completely dismantled.
