Insecurity: Sorrow As Gunmen Kill Director in Kaduna

It was a morning of in Kaduna State today as five unknown gunmen in the wee hours of Friday morning assassinated the Director of Operations, Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), Malam Dauda.

Our interviewees disclosed that the killers breached the security of the victim’s house illegally which was  in the area of Barakallahu Community in Igabi Local Government Area of the state, went inside the room and shot him dead.

It was also revealed that the killers only killed the director and left immediately without touching any valuables like cars and others.

The killers also attacked a nearby community, though no death or injury was recorded during the attack.

District Head of the community, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident to True Tells News on Friday, added that the Divisional Police Officers of Rigachikun and Barnawa, who are residents of the community, have visited the scene of the crime.

The district head, while expressing his grief on the case of assassination, described how they went to the victim’s apartment, killed him and left the community but they did not take a dime in his house neither did they attack the guard and his wife.

In addition, he noted that in the other villages that were attacked, no life was lost luckily, showing that it was planned. They just caused commotion and left, adding that they just did that to make it look like an attack.

It was confirmed that the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammad Jalige, did not respond to text messages and calls to his phone as at the time when this report is being writing.
