BREAKING: PDP calls for Ademola Adeleke’s arrest over attacks on Ex-gov, Oyinlola 

Mouthpiece NGR reports that Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Odo-Otin Local Government of Osun State has called for the arrest of Senator Ademola Adeleke and his moneybag brother, Deji Adeleke. 

The Members in a statement signed by its Chairman, Elders Caucus, Alhaji Rasaq Oyelami and press conference spokesperson, Hon Soji Ibikun, called on the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, to investigate the attack and make sure that the perpetrators are brought to book.

Oyinlola was harassed at Laim hotel when he visited the committee sent by the national Secretariat of the PDP and the attack has been linked to the candidate of the party in the 2018 governorship election in the state.

The protesters from all the fifteen wards in Odo-Otin converged on the home town of Oyinlola in Okuku and carried placards of various inscriptions such as “PDP Is Bigger Than Individual or Family,” “PDP Odo-Otin Say No To Impunity And Arrogance of Adeleke’s Family,” among others.

The statement read “We the entire members of the above great party condemn in strong term the physical attack, harassment, assault and attempt murder of former Governor of Osun state,His Excellency Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola at LAIM hotel in Osogbo last Wednesday.”

“It is not acceptable that peace loving peace will suffer such a level of humiliation I the hands of sponsored hoodlums and supporters of a Gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Ademola and his money bag brother Dr. Deji Adeleke.”

“It is disheartening that up til now, the handlers of this said gubernatorial aspirant Senator Ademola Adeleke are yet to show remorse and send an apology to Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola to douse tension for this reason, it is a dear indication that the handlers of the said gubernatorial aspirant deliberately sponsored the attack on Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.”

“Our supporters may not have an option than to result to self-defense in such future attack. We hereby call on the Osun state Commissioner of Police and by extension the Inspector General of police to investigate the assault and attempted murder of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola with a view of punishing the perpetrators and their sponsors in the interest of peace in the state.”
