Adulterated Fuel: “NNPC Is Blind, We Are Sorry” – Kyari
The Mouthpiece NGR News has gathered how the group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited with the name Mr. Mele Kyari tabled deep apologies to Nigerians on the imported adulterated fuel.
While appearing before the House of Representatives Committee on downstream, Mr. Kyari clarified on this day 16th February, 2022.
He noted that they are blind to the errors that they did not notice it when it was coming, it was inevitable to the importation.
“We regret this situation. It is completely unavoidable, we didn’t see it coming. We apologise to Nigerians. We didn’t see this coming,” he asserted.
It should be recall that the NNPC had imported Premium Motor Spirit with excess methanol level above the Nigerian market specification.
The House had ordered the committee on petroleum resources, downstream to investigate and check the importation and commanded that marketers who imported the fuel be suspended.
During his show, Kyari confirmed that the importation was unavoidable, he, therefore, apologised to Nigerians for the tremendous error. He hope that fellow Nigerians will forgive them.
