LAUTECH students smile as Makinde’s 25% school fees implemented
Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology were on Monday in joyous mood and laughter due to the fulfillment of Governor Seyi Makinde’s promise on the 25% reduction of the tuition fee of all undergraduates both indigenous and non-indigenous students.
In a statement made available to Mouthpiece NGR, the union recalled back to Tuesday 1st June 2021, when Governor Seyi Makinde visited the institution and announced the 25% reduction fee.
According to the statement, “It was not until today which marks the beginning of the 2021/22 academic session the reduction took an effect.”
“However, before the ending of 2020/21 academic session last year the present Students’ Union Government under the leadership of Adeboye Anuoluwa had assured all students of the full implementation on or before the commencement of the new 2021/22 academic session.”
The old and new tuition payment is as this;
100L – 400L Students
Indigenous Students From #140,000 to #105,000
Non-Indigenous Students From #170,000 to #127,500
500L Students
Indigenous Students From #120,000 to #90,000
Non-Indigenous Students From #120,000 to #112,500
600L Students
Indigenous Students From #90,000 to #67,500
Non-Indigenous Students From 100,000 to #75,000
