LAUTECH Students Union facilitates laptops, desktops for Dept. of Mechanical Engineering

The Students Union, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, under the leadership of Comrade Adeboye Anuoluwa has facilitated donations of Laptops and Desktops for the Department of Mechanical Engineering From Fidelity Bank Plc. 

Mouthpiece NGR understands that the gesture is part of its efforts to improve academic welfare and in fulfillment of its electoral promises during  campaign tagged “ARISE-ing a new LAUTECH”.

On Thursday, Fidelity Bank Plc represented by Mr. Adebayo Adeyinka, the Executive Technical Assistant to MD Fidelity Bank Plc and an Ex-LAUTECH Student’s Union President for 1999 set for the progress and welfare of the students at large donated 20 HP laptops and 30 HP desktops for the department of Mechanical Engineering to enhance and facilitate the digitalization of lectures for the students of the department. 

It was gathered that a Simulation Laboratory to aid the learning of all Engineering Students as a whole will be brought to existence courtesy of Fidelity Bank Plc. 

Adeyinka Adebayo, a graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, also promised a sum of one hundred thousand nairas (#100,000) for the Best Graduating Student of the department for the next 10years.

He said the gesture was put in place to see to the need of the department of Mechanical Engineering in respect to aid modern learning as the school is a tech-inclined institution. 

He then charged and challenged the present administration of SUG led by President Adeboye Anuoluwa to look more inwardly or within for innovative ideas to enact a better chance and an effective change in the institution.

While responding on behalf of the entire students, the SUG President, Adeboye Anuoluwa appreciate the Fidelity Bank Plc and Mr. Adebayo Adeyinka for the donations and promises. 

The president assured them that all the acquired equipment are made used appropriately by the students just as he urged other able and well-known individuals that are a product of LAUTECH to emulate this act and help LAUTECH to retrace her steps and achieve further progress.
