John Oke mourns Ogbomoso monarch, Oyewumi Ajagungbade III

Ogbomoso born politician and member Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. John Adisa Oke Ph.D has expressed grief over the death of the paramount Ruler of Ogbomoso land, His Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III. 

Oke in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Ogbomoso said the death of the monarch at this time was indeed a great loss not only to the people of Ogbomoso and Oyo State government but Nigeria at large. 

It reads: “I am grieved by the news of his majesty’s death, kindly accept for the Ogunlola Royal House and the entire people of Ogbomosho the sincere condolences.”

“As one of the illustrious sons of the soil, i share in the cruel grief which afflicts the land in the loss of the King, who was the incarnation of the virtues of courage and exemplary leadership to the people of Ogbomosho and its environs.”

Baba would live in people’s memories for peace, enduring stability, harmony and monumental developments attained during his reign.”

“I pray God forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest”.
