Hon Ajibola distributes free exercise books across primary schools in Ogbomoso South
Member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomoso South, Hon. Olawale Jelil Ajibola has on Thursday flagged off distribution of free writing materials across all 28 public primary schools in Ogbomoso South Local Government.
The flag off event which took place at Ijeru Baptist primary school was graced by dignitaries and PDP chieftaincy and will continue till the distribution is completed.
In his words, Hon Ajibola describes the gesture as timely and needful in the bid to complement the efforts of Oyo State government in the area of providing qualitative education to the pupils in the state.
According to him,”this gesture is consequential and visioned at providing sense of belonging to pupils of public primary schools and also to complement the efforts of our leader, Engr. Seyi Makinde in fulfillment of the mandate in educational sector.”
House of Assembly hopeful, who hails from Ijeru 1 ward 05 of Ogbomoso South, reiterated his passion to bridge the gap between the poor and rich in providing quality education for the wards in the LGA through distribution of the exercise books and other writing materials
Speaking at the event, Headmistress of the School, Mrs Akindele appreciated Hon Ajibola and eulogised his giant strides in the area of providing necessary materials for smooth running of education sector for pupils in the local government.
While applauding the gesture, the PDP party chairman in Ogbomoso South, Apostle Moses Olamoyegun commended Ajibola’s gesture in alleviating the suffering of the parents in the area of provision of writing materials for their wards.
He called on other party members to emulate this gesture in the bid to take the LG, the state to an enviable height.
Other dignitaries present at the flag off were; Mrs Adeyemi NUT Chairperson; Mrs Akindele, Head Mistress; Com Oluremi Adediran; Hon Rotimi Oladipo; Hon Eyitayo Olayinka, Party Chairman Apostle Olamoyegun; and Party Executives all ten wards.
