PDP Convention: Hon Ajibola lauds Makinde for backing Arapaja

Hon. Olawale Jelil Ajibola, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has lauded the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for throwing weight behind Amb. Taofeek Arapaja as the National Deputy Chairman (South) in the party’s convention billed for tomorrow.

Ajibola in a statement made to available to Mouthpiece NGR on Friday commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his doggedness and transparency in his decision, adding that such decision was in line with the modus operandi of the party in the South aimed at uniting and ensuring fair equitable share within the party.

Recall that Engnr. Seyi Makinde had expressed his support for the candidature of Amb. Taofeek Arapaja as the Deputy National Chairman (South) at the proposed October 30 national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The decision of our Governor to drum support for Amb. Taofeek Arapaja was succinct, in line with the modus operandi of PDP and aimed at uniting and ensuring fair equitable share within the party.

“Governor Seyi Makinde’s people-oriented governance is evidenced in the various landmark projects in South West PDP. 

“On his part, Ambassador Arapaja has proven to be a unifying factor when the party faced challenges. So his appointments is precursors to victory for PDP in the coming elections.

The House of Assembly hopeful further urged all delegates from Oyo and entired South to support the candidature of Amb. Taofeek Arapaja by voting massively for him at the convention.
