BREAKING: 5 Monarchs Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen

Unknown gunmen are said to have shot and killed at least five traditional rulers in Nnenasa, the headquarters of the Njaba local government area in Imo State. 

It was reported that traditional rulers from the area, numbering in the hundreds, had gathered at the local government headquarters for a meeting when unknown gunmen stormed the building.

The gunmen shot sporadically during the meeting, killing at least five of the traditional rulers on the spot.

Others who had serious gunshot wounds were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Mike Abatam, the Imo state police public relations officer, said he had not yet received all of the details of the incident.
