Birthday: Oyo celebrates a worthy son, grassroots politician, Dare Adeleke

The name, Dare Adeleke means different things to different people, depending on which side they stand.

As a politician, Dare Adeleke or Hon. Dare Adeleke as he is fondly called by his admirers, is a resourceful grassroots mobilizer, a founding member and a staunch loyalist of his party, the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) of which he was Youth leader in the early days, a fearless upholder of the truth, a loyalist to the core, a man who takes a position and holds on tenaciously to it however intimidating the opposition, a gogetter who delivers when it really matters and so much more.

As an administrator, Dare Adeleke has served as Special Adviser to the Oyo State government at a very early age.

In his present duty as the Executive Chairman of the Oyo Pacesetters Transport Services, Adeleke has proved himself a tireless worker and an administrator to watch. His exemplary leadership style and innovative ideas have released a breath of fresh air into the transport company which with the backing of the state Governor, Egnr. Seyi Makinde, has grown from a weak line-up of about 22 dilapidated buses to a highly competitive transport system boasting a fleet of over 65 brand new, modern buses, providing effortless transportation flow in Ibadan and environs, to the delight of the people.

Adeleke’s fearlessness in countering enemies of progress in his state has earned him a lot of admiration and accolades.

A doting father, husband and grandfather, Adeleke places premium on family and the values of building wholesome generation of properly grounded citizens in the society.

His love for charity and philanthropy is unequalled. So many have benefitted from the largeness of heart of the politician who they describe as quiet, humble, amiable and very very reachable.

This may be the reason why family, friends and admirers have trooped out to wish this gentleman of enviable qualities a Happy Birthday as he adds another year, today.

Dare Adeleke is an avid sportsman and an adventurous traveler who has been to over 40 countries of the world.

He is an active member of the Ibadan Golf Club, Ibadan, the Polo Club, Kaduna, Heritage International Golf Club Dublin, Langston Golf Club Washington DC, to mention few.

Dare Adeleke, is an expert in backstroke and freestyle swimming and and a medalist in Diving.
