PHOTOS: Encomium as Oyo Govt receives 85 students from UNIJOS 

About eighty five students from the University of Jos, Plateau state who are indigenes and residents of Oyo state have been evacuated from the state following recent crises in the state. 

The students who were evacuated with two luxury buses and security escorts stopped by at the Governor’s office to register their appreciation to the Governor for the timely gesture.

Governor’s office correspondent David Bello report that with the recent crises in Jos resulting in the lost of lives and destruction of properties, the students’ community at the University of Jos has become vulnerable, in this regard, Governor Seyi Makinde concerned about the plight of students of the University from Oyo state, deployed an evacuation team led by the Special Assistant to the Governor on student affairs Hon. Victor Olojede and security escort to Jos 

Arriving at the Governor’s office after safe evacuation with no casualty recorded the 85 students were filled with joy.

The governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, assured the students that the state government would always do everything within its capacity to protect the lives and properties of its indigenes and residents.
