The Management of Ayede Federal Polytechnic, Ogbomoso has debunked an advertisement of a purported recruitment exercise widely circulated on social media, noting that the information was fake and the handiwork of unscrupulous elements out to defraud hardworking Nigerians.
In a chat with Mouthpiece NGR on Thursday, the Registrar, Mr Akin Odesola urged the public to disregard the information, as the information did not emanate from the school management.
Akin Odesola who confirmed that the school Rector, Bursar and Polytechnic Librarian were with him during the chat, advised people to treat the information as fake.
He called on members of the public to be wary of the antics of those peddling the advertisement as they are out to defraud hardworking Nigerians.
The purported advertisement, circulating via WhatsApp and other social media also got the reaction of Mr Sunday Dare, Minister of Youths and Sports.
The Minster, in a statement obtained by Mouthpiece NGR on Thursday, said his attention has been drawn to a fake post circulating via WhatsApp and other social media asking people to submit applications to him for employment into the Federal Polytechnic Ayede Ayelade, Ogbomoso Oyo State.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Federal Polytechnic Ayede, being an academic institution, falls under the supervision and oversight of the Federal Ministry of Education, so application for employment into the institution cannot then be directed to Mr. Dare, who is the Minister of Youth and Sports Development.”
“Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard the fake message asking them to submit CVs and application letters “to Sunday Dare’s office @ Alata plastic store opposite Anglican Grammar school” as this is a calculated attempt at mischief.”
“The Minister of Youth and Sports Development is not responsible for recruitment into the Federal Polytechnic Ayede Ayelade, Ogbomoso Oyo State.”
