Princess Adedoja celebrates international women’s day, tags 2021 as #ChooseToChallenge

Princess Aderonke Adedoja, the founder/CEO, ARA foundation & National Coordinator of Nigeria women in Politics has joined Nigerians to celebrate International Women’s Day where she emphasized the need to protect women’s rights as human rights and empower women and girls.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that International Women’s Day is celebrated every March 8 around the world. It’s a focal point in the movement for women’s rights.

The commemoration of this event ranges from being a public holiday in some countries to be largely ignored elsewhere. In some places, it’s a day of protest; in others, it’s a day that celebrate womanhood.

Adedoja, in a statement made available to this medium on Monday by her media assistant, Mr Kehinde Gbadeyanka, underscored the need to empower women in leadership position as the only way to protect their rights and realize their potentials.

She said whatever it is, women should be treated evenly as they should also see themselves as agent of dynamic.

According to her, the theme for this year celebration #ChooseToChallenge and three colours symbolize Women’s Day have expatiated to the world how Women should be treated justly and preserve their dignities.

“By doing this, women won’t feel inferiority and will never give room for despondency regardless of the challenges facing them. Women should feel safe anytime, anyday and anywhere.”

“Only women #ChooseToChallenge will be stand out, compete with opposite sex and become successful ones.”

“The women like Ibukun Awosika (Chairperson, First Bank), Osaretin Damuren (Chairperson, GT Bank), Adeyinka Igbinoba (Chairperson, AIG Media pro), Mosun Bello- Olusoga (Chairperson, Access Bank) Ngozi Okonjo Iweala ( First Female President of World Trade Organization)and here in University of Ibadan we have Zaynab Popoola, the First Female FIBSU PRESIDENT.”

Adedoja noted that these Women of Atheldom have chosen to challenge and risen up among women.
