Like Dapchi, Like Chibok, like Kankara, Like Jangebe and like others: Case of Abduction, kidnapping & Killing of Innocent Nigerians: Which Way Nigeria?
6years ago, news of how over 200 Chibok girls were napped away by men of the faceless Boko-haram.These girls were denied access to education, social life and most especially denied parental care and upbringing. The kidnapping happened few months to 2015 general election. Years down the lane, I watched the parent of this Chibok girls soaked in tears and sorrow on Channels TV.
Feb 19th, 2017, about 110 Dapchi girls were kidnapped away like it was for the chibok. The Parent of these girls were soaked in sorrow, tears and anguish just like that of Chibok girls of 2015.
In 2020, it was Kankara kidnapping, over 300 boys were Kidnapped from Kankara in Katsina State, the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari. Some weeks later, it was Jangebe kidnapping, in Niger State.
Prior to the Kankara kidnapping, we’ve heard about 35 rice farmers beheaded on their farms in Borno State. We’ve heard how Benue State Governor was in ambush by the men of the under-world( kidnappers) and Governor Utom was looking helpless on National Television. We”ve heard how the daughter of a Yoruba Chieftain was slained to death along Ibadan- Osun expressway.
The PDP government were voted out ( in majority of the state and in the Federal) because of 16 years of incompetency in most part of Nigeria governance system, corruption from alpha to the Omega, insecurity in the nooks and crannies of the country, poor economic policy up and down and dreaded Education policy, to vote in changed in the shadow of APC.
We saw an hitherto almagamation of bigwig Nigerians (led by the National leader of APC-Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the incumbent President of Today-Rtd. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, as he was then called), they led a revolutional movement in Lagos (Gani Fawehinmi square) in 2012 against poor Governance, Corruption, Insecurity and increased price of fuel. That almagamation metamorphosed to today APC. Our expectations then, was that, the then newly-formed APC, was with a blue print, that will move Nigeria out of her numerous Challenges. We then voted for APC against a 16 years on-throne-PDP-government.
Then should a supposed competent APC government(APC) continue to give excuses on the recent economic failure, insecurity, killing here and there, poor governance, corruption at the alpha and Omega, lack of respect for judicial pronouncement?
A sitting Governor said he knew those behind this Kidnapping, yet he’s still working around. A Sheikh Gumi is now the unofficially celebrated middleman between Nigeria Government, Kidnappers and security. A governor made a public support on why some people should go around with Ak-47 in Nigeria, without approval from the NPF. Which way Nigeria? Why are the Chibok girls still not out of Boko-Haram custody? Do we now have all the Kankara boys back? Were the Kidnappers ghost? Why giving Kidnappers, Boko-haram and bandits amnesty, after they have turned some houses to fatherless and motherless abode?
Which way Nigeria?
