Kishi agog for Barr. Bayo Lawal’s loyalist professorial Chair
Family and friends across the country on Saturday flooded the ancient city of Kishi, Oyo state to join the fiesta marking the grand professorial chair of IBBU don, Professor Salihu Abdul Waheed Adelabu at Kishi community town hall, Agede area.
Professor Salihu, a distinct son from Adelabu dynasty in Kishi was recently promoted to the exalted academic rank (Professor) at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda University, Lapai Niger State.
The event which captured a mammoth crowd had in attendance the Iba of Kishi, Oba Moshood Aweda Arowoduye 11, Baamofin of Kishi land who is currently the Chairman Oyo State Housing Corporation, Barrister Bayo Lawal and eminent personalities from Ibadan and other states.
Others include Boba Jiro of Kishi land, Alhaji Rahman Bioku, Alhaji Afeez Jimoh Ona ara, Alhaji Lateef Adediran Santana, Oyo Housing Corporation members and host of others.
While extolling the virtues of the celebrant, the Baamofin of Kishi land acknowledged the contributions of the don to Kishi and environs, adding that Professor Salihu has carved a niche for himself in all spheres of life.
Barr. Bayo Lawal called on all illustrious sons of the town to be a good Ambadsador and continue to make the town proud.
He then presented a gift on behalf of his wife to the professor to commemorate his attainment.
