LAUTECH alumni interface on smooth relocation of medical student to Ogbomoso

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology’s Alumni Association at its meeting held at NUJ Press Centre Iyaganku in Ibadan on Friday vowed to engage the governments of both states with a view to ensuring smooth relocation of medical students from Osogbo campus to Ogbomoso.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that students have been under intense pressure following the transfer of ownership of LAUTECH to the government of Oyo State and the College of Health Sciences to the government of Osun State. 

The association at its global assembly extensively discussed various challenges confronting the relocating medical students presided by its Global President, Hon. Onilede Solomon. 

According to the president, the Alumni Association would interface with governments of Oyo and Osun so that medical students in Osogbo would not suffer any hardship in the course of their relocation to Ogbomoso campus.

Com. Onilede reiterated that the Alumni Association would continue to support and cooperate with Governors Gboyega Oyetola and Seyi Makinde as they implement all the legal agreements concerning the transfer of ownership of the citadel of learning.

As part of the effort, the global president also held a meeting with Adeleke Nurudeen, Senate President for LAUTECH Medical Students Association on Saturday at Osogbo. 

He assured him and other teeming members that he would engage Osun and Oyo governments on possible way to make things easy for students as regard recent directive for relocation.
