FOGSU electoral have compromised— PRINCIPLE raises alarm

AHEAD of FOGSU election, a presidential aspirant, Comrade Tiamiyu Olayinka popularly known as PRINCIPLE has alleged that the electoral committee under the chairmanship of Mr Adeleye Taiwo disqualified some candidates  after extorting money from students. 

PRINCIPLE, a graduate of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education and currently a student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, said the electoral bodies have compromised and not qualify to hold election. 

In a statement made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Wednesday, Olayinka listed reasons why the electoral committee should be dissolved.

He said the electoral bodies are not qualify to hold election as the whole electoral processes is faulty.

According to him, in every union there is constitution, custom and tradition, the FNEC bodies led by Adeleye Taiwo failed to obey these three afformentioned.

He explained that registration of voters which comprises of all tertiary institution was programed for a week when most of the institutions are writing exams and the same time was the National Association Of Nigerian Student (Nans) National convention which is the mother of all students Union bodies across the federation and it’s inappropriate to have any other students Union activities when Nans National is having her convention.

Olayinka also said that the electoral bodies found interest in extorting aspirants by inflating the nomination form from the norms and denying interested members from purchasing the form.

“The time frame by the electoral was short so as to perpetrate their evil and marginalizing members of the union in a separate attempt to stop them from participating in the election why their favorite candidates were considered secretly in all ramifications, he said. 

Olayinka who spoke in confidence that the electoral chairman has been bought by politicians added that the screening of the electoral was bias and lack God fearing.

“Some aspirants failed to show up for screening and they were qualified why aspirants who attended the screening and follow all obligation were disqualified to satisfy their pay master”, he said.
