Makinde approves N8.7bn for construction of 43km Saki-Igboho road

Oyo state government during its state executive council meeting chaired by Governor Seyi Makinde has approved 8.7 billion Naira for the construction of 45.3km road from Saki to Ogboro down to Igboho.

Briefing Journalists on the outcome of the 28th executive council meeting, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Hon Muyiwa Ojekunle told newsmen that Oyo state government has earmarked 8.7 billion Naira for the construction of 45.3km road to enhance rural-urban movement of farm produce to effectuate economic growth of the state.

Hon Ojekunle stressed that the 45 kilometer road project was awarded to Messr China Civil Engineering Corporation through Alternative Projects funding Approach.

“Those projects approved at the 28th state Executive council meeting chaired by Governor Seyi Makinde were targeted at bringing rapid economic development to Oyo state” – He said.
