Covid-19: LAUTECH releases guidelines for resumption

The management of Ladoke Akintola Univeristy of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, has released guidelines ahead of the planned resumption but failed to disclose the date. 

The guidelines outlined actions, measures and requirements needed for the safe reopening and control of community spread of Covid-19 within the institution. 

According to the guidelines made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Wednesday in Ogbomoso, both staff and students are required to make use of LAUTECH Alcohol -based sanitizer placed at offices to disinfect their hands while entering such places.

The guidelines which was signed by the School Director of Medical Services, Dr ONAWUMI. O. stated that under-listed guidelines are mandatory for full compliance by all and sundry.

The document reads: “Wear the approved face mask while coming to campus and throughout your stay within. Don’t share your face mask with anyone.”

“Wash your hands with soap under running water taps for 20 second at campus entrances.”

“Wait briefly at campus gate to have your body temperature measured.”

“Kindly note that no students, staff or visitor will be granted entry into the campus without full compliance with guidelines.”

 “Make use of LAUTECH Alcohol -based sanitizer placed at offices to disinfect your hands while entering such places.”

“Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and noce with unsanitized or unwashed hands.”

“Follow no-touch greetings. Prefer hand-waving while exchanging greetings on campus.”

“Prefer opening of doorknobs with your elbow and not with your hands.”

“Keep physical distancing of 2 arm- length from the next person at all times.”

“Stay at home/hostel, if you are unwell with fever, cough, sore throat,  diarrhoea or difficulty with breathing and call the number 08033852703.”

“Remain in self isolation outside campus for 14 days upon arrival from a location with community transmission of COVID 19 or, after closed contract with a confirmed case of the infection.”

“Comply religiously, with the established protocols at the University Health Centre whenever you report sick, or on a visit to admitted patients.”

“Take responsibility to keep LAUTECH community saved from COVID 19.”
