‘Don’t give in to any form of panic’— Dikko urges Oluyole, Oyo residents
Honorable Salami Ibraheem Oladeji popularly known as Dikko has urged the good people of Oyo State not to give in to any form of panic and maintain social distancing to prevent Covid-19.
Hon. Dikko, a former PDP aspirant Federal House of representatives in Oluyole Local Government and ADC candidate, Oyo State House of Assembly in the 2019 general election that participated in the coalition to kick out the APC-led administration, urged the good people of Oyo state to stay safe, stay home, and maintain personal hygiene.
He made the call on Thursday at Ibadan while appreciating the effort of the State Government and Covid-19 task force headed by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the palliatives and measures put in place especially the emergence of the Infectious Diseases Center (IDC) at Olodo.
Hon. Dikko stated that he was glad to receive the good news of Eng. Seyi Makinde as he tested negative for coronavirus after self isolation for few days.
He appreciate the good people of Oyo state for abiding by the rules of the state government during this global pandemic.
Hon. Dikko put on record his gratitude to all individuals, well-meaning people, associations, organizations, NGOs, royal fathers, party leaders, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and academic institutions for their financial, spiritual, logistics, and moral support and more so, complied with the restrictions on large gathering and have also spoken up to support the preventive measures.
While appealing to the law enforcement agencies to embark and enforce the directives on stay at home and curfew order in a civilized manner, the lawmaker hopeful urged them to be more proactive so that hoodlums will not use the stay at home and curfew directives to terrorize the people of the state.
Hon Dikko congratulates and expresses joy to the Christians in the state for the easter and enjoin them to pray for the state and the country at large against the Novel Corona Virus
He also urged all citizens of Oyo state to remain calm and observe all preventive measures announced by the state government and their agencies.
