Just In: PDP first elected female lawmaker, Rose Oko dies in UK
The lawmaker, Senator Dr. Rose Oko, representing Cross River North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly has been confirmed dead.
Oko, who was the Peoples Democratic chieftain and first elected female lawmaker from her constituency died at the age of 63.
MouthpieceNGR gathered that the female lawmaker died last night in a hospital, in the United Kingdom.
Until her death she was the chairman, Senate Committee on Trade and Investment. She was also a second term member of the National Assembly.
