BREAKING: Akinloye leads all ADC Members to PDP
Candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the 2019 election, Hon. Andrew Akinloye Akande has officially defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, Mouthpiece NGR reports.
Akinloye, who contested for state House of Assembly, Ogbomoso South constituency, on Tuesday led about 80% of the party members to PDP in Oyo state.
Out of the 10 wards in Ogbomoso South, about seven (7) wards chairmen, including six (6) women leaders and the entire 10 wards youth leaders followed Honorable Andrew Akinloye Akande, who stepped down for Hon. Sonjo Adedoyin to emerge victoriously at the last election.
It was a fun-fair seeing the array of people; old women, youths, okada riders, among others dancing and rejoicing with him to the PDP local government meeting held at Methodist primary school, Arowmole, Ogbomoso.
Other members of his team who spoked with Mouthpiece NGR correspondent, acknowledged the good works of Honorable Akande and noted that it’s is the reason for the large turnout of ADC members to defect along with him to PDP.
“This clearly shows who’s in full control of that party in Ogbomoso South local government.”
At the meeting, Hon. Akinloye thanked the leadership of the people’s Democratic Party both at the state and local government level for graciously accepting him and his followers to the ruling party in the state.
Adrew Akinloye assured them of his cooperation in moving the party forward at the grass root level and to ensure that the good works of Engineer Seyi Makinde is further strengthened at local level.
He prayed that this period of their defection to PDP would lead to promotion of all and sundry.
Notable people among decampee includes Mr Bukola Ayandele, Mr Samuel Akande, Mr Ogunbumi Aderemi, Mr Ashamu, among others.
