Osun Governor Appoints New Amir-Hajj

Governor Gboyega Oyetola has appointed Sheik Maaruf Olawale Ishola, the Grand Mufty of Osogbo as the new Amir-Hajj of the state of Osun for the 2019 Hajj operations. 

Sheik Ishola’s Appointment was confirmed on Friday as friends and family congratulates him. 

The erudite Islamic scholar will lead the state’s contingent to the 2019 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia. 

Until his appointment, Ishola was the Mufasir and third in command to the Chief Imam of Osogbo. 

Sheik Ishola holds Bachelor Degree and a Masters Degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Ilorin. He is a revered Islamic scholar in Osogbo and environs with his Arabic and Islamic School.

He’s known for his depth of knowledge in delivering well researched lecture which earned him the sobriquet, “All Bayan”
