JUST IN: “EFCC Probe Aregbesola”, Osun Pensioners Protests Non Payment of Arrears
Pensioners in Osun State has staged a peaceful protest in Osogbo, Osun state capital to demand payment of 15 months arrears of pension owed by government.
Mouthpiece NG correspondent reports that the protesters took to the street on Tuesday with different inscriptions on placards demanding for their entitlement.
The pensioners were seen with inscriptions such as “EFCC should probe Aregbesola”, Retirees are dying”, “Pension, Gratuity is our right,”.
The chairman of Forum of 2011/2012 Pensioners, Mr. Yemi Lawal, declared that Osun’s retirees were the most traumatized in the country.
